Unique Hand Made Table Lamp Loft / industrial. The history of this lamp dates back almost 50 years.
My grandfather's secret acquaintance, Jaromir, lived in what was then Czechoslovakia. The men met quite often. They gossiped about how their lives unfolded further after the war.No one knew who this man was, and the grandfather only hinted that Jaromir owed him a debt of gratitude. However, he avoided answering questions about what it was specifically about. The fact is that Jaromir tried to repay this debt as hard as he could.
On the occasion of one visit, Jaromir brought as a gift a new headlight for some vehicle. My father recalled with nostalgia, but also a certain nervousness, that those were the days of deep communist Poland, so called PRL, when there was nothing available. And if there was anything, it was rationed anyway. At the same time, any attempts to do things "on the side" were not, to put it mildly, welcomed by the authorities. And just that evening they knocked on the grandfather's door for this Jaromir.
An aura of terror seized over the house. Grandfather told my father to quickly grab all the things and take the guest's luggage, go out the window and hide somewhere safe. Father only remembered how full of fear he ran as far away from the house as possible. Jaromir was taken away by three gloomily dressed individuals.
My Grandfather with my father eventually hid the luggage, somewhere out of anyone's sight and reach. Supposedly, in addition to the headlight, there was something more important in the suitcase that the undercover agents were looking for. Jaromir never again appeared in grandfather's house. Years later, my father unearthed the suitcase from the basement of my grandfather's house. Inside were clothes, but also a briefcase with handwritten documents - all badly rotten. The only thing that was reasonably preserved was this headlight. The rest was simply a bunch of junk. Soon after, my grandfather died, taking the secret of this acquaintance to the grave. It was from this headlight that I hand made a unique lamp. And only she knows the secret of Jaromir's suitcase.
