Vintage Marx Electra-Matic Electric Mobile steel ride on pedal car & box! WORKS

  
Very rare Marx Mobile ride on car with original super rare box. Extremely rare to have with the original box and hardly for sale together. This toy was only for sale during the christmas 1959 period. After that it was replaced by the electric hot rod. This makes this ride on car extremely sought after. Box in a good condition with some bumps and rips (see pictures). The car features a cool 50s style with two tail fins, a nicely designed front grille and a charming dashboard. Imagine a child receiving this as a gift and actually feel like they were driving a real car. The car is made from steel. Some colour fading to car and rust spots especially to the dashboard.

Steering wheel in a very good condition with no cracks. Wheels in an excellent condition. The indicator stick on the left controls the arrows on the dashboard. Underside is in an excellent condition. When you lift the battery panels off, the battery compartment is in an excellent condition.

The wires are a bit old now. I would probably get it rewired to look and work better. I tested this will 2 Energizer Silver 9V batteries and it worked!

The car did go forwards and backwards (although the backwards manoeuvre was slower to go). The forwards control did make the car go backwards and the back control made the car go forwards! When you unscrew and lift the dashboard, underneath the car is in a bright excellent condition with beautiful detailing to the car (see pictures). Comes with the original key which has a red plastic car on a silver chain. These are extremely rare as they would usually get lost. This slots into the ignition and turns. Steering wheel, control stick and dashboard will be unscrewed so that it is easier to pack. You will need to put it together again which is simple enough. I will include all the screws in an envelope. This item is very heavy, hence the courier charge. This would make a great gift or to add to your collection!
